Those dog kisses don’t mean what you think
Whether you're a dog lover or not, there's no denying that dogs are pretty darn cute. But did you know that those "icky" dog kisses actually mean something?
When a dog licks you, it might seem like they're just being gross—but the truth is, there's more to it than that. For example, if your dog licks your face, it might be because they want to claim you as theirs! Or maybe they want some attention from their owner. Or maybe they want to give you some love! It all depends on the context and what body language the dog is displaying when they do it.
It's important to remember that dogs communicate with each other through scent as well as sight and sound. So if your pup wants to lick something—say, a toy—that means he thinks it smells good! And if he wants to lick someone's hand or face, then he probably wants to show that person how much he cares about them (or at least how much he likes them).
So next time you get one of those "icky" dog kisses from your furry friend, take a moment and think about what might be going through his mind before reacting too strongly!
